Ilene's training allows her to bring to life old black and white photos to canvas re-imagining the mementos in a new way. From black and white to colour, from damaged and faded to developed and restore, from a photo to a goregous black and white painting.

In sync with the recent popular interest in genology; there has been a surge of people commissioning Ilene to paint portraits of ancestors and old family photos.

a) A black and white painting that mimics the antique style of the original photgraph

b) A charcoal drawing
